Our Office
Dr. Gary B. Carr received his A.B Degree at Cornell University in the Classics in 1969. He served in the US Navy from 1970-1972 as a Line Officer. Dr. Carr earned his DDS degree at SUNYAB in 1976, and Endodontic Certificate at University of Illinois in 1982. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and has been practicing endodontics for 20 years in San Diego, California. He has trained hundreds of endodontists and their staff in microsurgical and retreatment techniques and is widely considered the "Father of Microscopic Endodontics". He is the Director and Founder of Pacific Endodontic Research Foundation.
Dr. Carr is the creator and developer of TDO, a digital office software for endodontists widely recognized as the gold standard in endodontic record keeping. He has mentored hundreds of endodontists worldwide using the software. He lives in Rancho Santa Fe with his wife and son.
Dr. Tami Rd Decker began her dental career as a dental assistant in 1976. She returned to school at San Diego State University and graduated with a BS in Biology in 1986. She then continued her dental training at UCLA, earning her DDS degree in 1990. While in dental school, Dr. Decker was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, National Dental Honor Society. She earned her Endodontic Certificate at UCLA, as well, completing her training in 1992. Dr. Decker has practiced endodontics in Montana and CA, and relocated to San Diego in December 2010. She lives in San Diego with her husband and 2 dogs.
Joy Haskins has been Dr. Carr's assistant for 17 years and is the developer of many innovative assisting techniques used in microscopic endodontics. She has helped train dental assistants the world over in advanced assisting microsurgical techniques and is universally acknowledged as one the finest endodontic assistants in the United states. She lives in Chula Vista with her husband and two children.
